Flat Stanley

Yesterday Ali brought Flat Stanley to school. He came all the way from England. Charlie, Ali's friend sent him to us to see what we get up to at Sumner School.
He watched us do phonics, and came to team singing with us. He went up onto our space wall and visited Saturn! He learnt that Saturn is a gas planet and it has thin rings made of ice, rock and dust. He also learnt how the moon changes shape because of where it is in space. Flat Stanley found out that it takes about a month for the moon to go around the Earth, and that the moon almost spins as fast as the Earth so we always see the same side of it.
In the afternoon he came to PMP. We taught him how to do a pencil roll. We liked having Flat Stanley visit. We would like to know more about what school is like in England for Flat Stanley and Charlie.
